Since I am an average home user of consumer electronics, I am not quite aware of sites like Elatec which offers electronics equipment and gadgets. But their electronic products are not the typical products that are often seen in many electronic stores and websites. Industry-use equipment demands superior quality because these are used often in many applications and have minimal downtime. A case in point is the Touch panel used in a company computer. Many office users would agree that it is vital to use touch panels that can withstand heavy usage.
Elatec is not confined to industry-computer parts: they also have RFID readers, embedded hardware and security solutions. Smart cards and Loyalty cards are also even part of their product line up.

Apparently, Google plans an AppStore for its mobile platform Android, The Register reported.
In March, when Steve Jobs announced the iPhone SDK roadmap, a similar initiative was introduced for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The Appleās AppStore, which is included in the iPhone 2.0 software, is a new application that lets users browse, search, purchase and wirelessly download third party applications directly onto their iPhone or iPod Touch.
Practically, every developer can submit their applications to the AppStore, Jobs said. However, Apple would retain 30 percent of all sales revenues.
Users can download free applications at no charge to either the user or developer, or purchase priced applications with just one click. Enterprise customers will be able to create a secure, private page on the AppStore accessible only by their employees. Apple will cover all credit card, web hosting, infrastructure and DRM costs associated with offering applications on the App Store.
